Holy tamole...it's not just a new year fast approaching...but a whole new decade!

A little over 11 years on this site/forum, and it's amazing to look back at it all.

So...

1. How was your year?

2. How would you say your decade overall was?

3. And what things do you hope for/biggest wishes or look forward to the most in 2010?

For me...

1. 2009 was a rather quiet year, kind of disappointing...but it had a few bright spots. Nothing really big happened, except for the
determination to go all out with ambitious goals(such as filmmaking, art and music) Sadly, didnt find love(or even like) this year...didnt get a cool new job or travel far and wide(tho I did spend a pretty fun week in Southern California with family)

2. My 2000-2009 has been a learning lesson. I was in my early 20's at the beginning of the decade, and am now in my early 30's...tho thankfully I look/seem like Im still in my early 20's.
I was actually hoping to be married by now and have a successful career...I still believe those things will happen, they've just been taking their sweet time:stick_out_tongue:
This decade saw my first actual career going, my first girlfriend/love(although it only lasted a few months, and I havent dated since), moving out, etc.

I also got really far with my comics/art/graphic design and music, having garnered a somewhat sizeable fanbase(tho thats kind of no more), doing various comic/anime convention booths and playing some live shows.

3. I'm looking forward to big and small ambitious goals coming to fruition for the dreamers out there. As much as Im sure 2010 and beyond will serve up plenty of unforseen challenges like we've never seen before, I think it's also an oppurtunity for human development, growth, maturing and new perspectives for everyone.

I believe NOW, more than ever, the spirit and message of Jim Henson is needed in the world.

...Im also *so* hoping Disney puts on a Muppetfest/Muppety event sort of celebration at Disneyland or WDW in 2010:smile:

1. Eh, not the best year I've ever had... which is odd, considering that usually years that end in odd numbers are exceptionally good years for me, and years that end in even numbers aren't so much... but 2008 was a pretty darn good year, so I don't know, it's like the whole world's been turned upside down for me lately, lol.
2. It was the best of the times, it was the worst of times, lol.
3. Just the further expansion of my puppetry business/production company.

1. Pretty good, all things considered. It evened itself out along the way, I guess. There's still a few weeks to mess that up, but that's doubtful...

2. Second grade was good times, lol. It's really strange answering this, partly because I have no other complete decades to compare it to. Not the best question to answer, actually. This is a terrible answer. But I'm bored, and surveys always fill time nicely.

Although in the long-term, the next 10 years are probably going to be..(*coughcough*miserable*coughcough*)... eventful.

3. World peace? That'd be good. Let's go with that one so I don't have to think of something personal. Hah.

1. This year's been pretty good. But h***, time sure flies! I've been fairly productive this year, I've been trying at school but my main priority is actually keeping up with my hobbies and experimenting with new techniques (in the way of my art) and concepts. I've been fairly motivated and inspired this year, which I'm rather happy with.

2. It's varied. 10 years ago I was so young! But at the same time, I remember it like it was just the other day. 2002-2006 were fairly iffy years... not "horrible" or anything, but I was rather lonely and at times I was just confused about my emotions. Does that make any sense whatsoever? XDD But that's how I felt... I hadn't really found my place, and in a way some of us never will. But all in all, life's been very good to me through the thick and thin. The last few years have been pretty d*** good, actually. I'm more confident about expressing who I am, I've stayed true to myself, and... man, thank goodness for intrsts and hobbies!

3. 2010? H***, I'm not as young as I used to be, eh? I'm hoping to be more organised (though I say that every year... heh), and more motivated. I'm gonna get a job, too. ;3 Not in any massive hurry or anything, as I'm not one to bite off more than I can chew, but I'd like to have a bit of dough on me.

1. How was your year?

Got married, moved out of my parents house and into my own house. Had my brother-in-law move in then move out within only 3 months total. Just long enough for our poodle, Teddy to get attached to his husky Shea. So our poodle has been heartbroken now.

2. How would you say your decade overall was?

Good and bad. Went through a couple of bad relationships, a couple of good relationships; and finally into my best relationship; with Robert. And now I've gotten my own house, my own dog, and everything is wonderful.

3. And what things do you hope for/biggest wishes or look forward to the most in 2010?

You know, I really don't know about all that. Just to be together and alive at the end of it perhaps.

1. Well, I was still in nursing school. I'd rather not talk about the spring semester, for it was biological waste in my eyes. On the plus side, I wasn't employed during the summer because I knew my brother wanted dogs, which we got in April. We never intend to have children, so while it's been "ruff", I've finally attached to them maternally, LOL. We have some of the best behaved "kids" who didn't attend formal obedience school. But, we worked hard, losing lots of sleep and emotional/financial comfort, but it was worth it.

2. Lost our maternal grandmother mid-2000s. Moved to Texas, coincidentally just before Hurricane Katrina. Worked my way up to manager at the zoo and was fired for not dealing with a spoiled brat well. Decided to go to nursing school for the varied opportunities. My life has always been like that though, a complete rollercoaster. That's why I'm not very into making "long-term plans" ... they always blow up in my face.

3. I'd like to be a nurse and have enough money to eliminate my financial problems and work on the house to improve the feng shui :stick_out_tongue:

My decade? The decade I grew up. **** it, I miss the 90s. I Don't miss 90's internet speeds though; I cannot bear the thought. By far the thing for me that sets the naughties in is 9/11. What an awesome* event that was to shape a decade.

*Not in the good way

My year was good. By far, very good. It's had ups and really massive downs. And awkward encounters. Only a month ago did I have the best night of my life, with the love of it (So far...) This year - the year I figured out where the **** I am going, the year that I found love, not short lived limerance. I must say, the first 5 months or so really blew; but winter and foward was quite enjoyable.

Oh right, it's been so long I forgot about the censor on this board.

This decade began with hope for me and ended with hope, but the middle was mushy and disappointing. Learning from those mistakes and moving on to a better decade. The only stars in my eyes are practical goals that can be achieved with hard work and not short-cuts. :super:

1. How was your year? My year was ok. It wasn't overally good or overally bad. It passed by in a bit of a blur in all actuality.

2. How would you say your decade overall was? My overall decade was a crazy time of transition and changes in my life - I started off the decade graduating from high school and then going on to college, moving out for the first time, graduating college, getting my first job, getting married and buying a house, a couple more job changes and all that goes along with all of that! So I guess you could say this was the decade I more or less grew up.

3. And what things do you hope for/biggest wishes or look forward to the most in 2010? Just health and happiness for my friends and family at this point. I really live by the motto one day at a time right now.
