Answer: um...I dunno. Anyway;

I was just wondering if anyone knew exactly how many Muppet specials have been edited. I know of these (because I have the original versions of them all):

Muppet Family Christmas
The Christmas Toy
Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas

...are there any others I've excluded?

An unedited Muppet tv special is like trying to find a pleasant smell at a Star Trek convention.

I think it has become standard practice to mutilate JHC specials for the home market.

Speaking of edits, I wholeheartedly dislike the way Fraggle Rock was shown edited on Odyssey. I also dislike the replacement end credits on the 1993 release of The Bells of Fraggle Rock. (That counts as a Muppet special, right?) Fortunately I have a PAL copy with CBC credits intact. :big_grin:

And virtually every Zoot ending was cut out of Odysey's re-airing of The Muppet Show.
