Announced by SCI FI to Premiere in Fall

The critically acclaimed adventure sci-fi series Farscape will soon be back on the airwaves in the form of a television special event miniseries - Farscape: Peacekeeper War. In response to fans' overwhelming support for the Farscape franchise, SCI FI Channel announced yesterday that it will be airing the 4-hour miniseries produced by The Jim Henson Company in conjunction with Hallmark Entertainment. The two-part program was directed and executive produced by Brian Henson, and written and executive produced by series creator Rockne S. O'Bannon and David Kemper. In addition to Henson, O'Bannon and Kemper, all of the key creative talent, both in front of and behind the camera, that made Farscape so unique and special, will return.

“This special television event would not be a reality were it not for the tireless, unwavering efforts of the Farscape fans to bring the series back. Like all of us at The Jim Henson Company, they believed that the epic story we were telling was something special and deserved a proper ending. We are thrilled to respond to their dedication be creating this miniseries, thus resolving many of the unanswered questions from the final episode and giving fans their just due.”

I thought perhaps some on this forum might like to hear about this upcoming Henson event. Two more of Henson's wonderful creations, Rygel and Pilot, play major roles in "Farscape" and interact with the real life characters in a completely natural and effecting way.

Brian Henson did a remarkable thing by creating this perhaps final chapter of "Farscape". His words above speak for themselves!
