Help with modifying a pattern

Okay, I will be getting Project Puppet's Punto pattern soon, but I will have to modify the head shape to match my puppet's (Chloe) head shape, which is more rounder than the Punto pattern. Can anyone give me some tips? I know it would take trial and error.

Well, I could at least I could try to do the Punto, which is already paid for.

What's the basic shape of the Punto Pattern? If it's long vertically would it work to just make it shorter up and down?

It's similar to the Pinhead pattern, but the head has more of a point.

Also I've found a child wig online that would be prefect for my character.

What size does the puppet's head suppose to be in order to fit this wig? I'm make mine overall 26" from the waist up.
