Dear Muppet Experts

I need your help in identifying a character:

Sort of Berkley-in-the-60s-LSD-powered-academic-type?
Not overtly groovy, but spaced-out in sensibility...
Vague, (like me...)
That's all I have.
Am I imagining him?
Please put me out of my misery...
Thank you
L

I found my solution:
The character I was trying to find is Prof. Denzil Dexter, who appeared on "The Fast Show" - a sketch-based comedy show in the UK in the 1990's...(youtube is your friend here...)
So, he's not a Muppet character, but I think there was a clear influence from the Muppet-o-sphere in this character (or at least in my neuronal wiring).

sorry for the noise...
