would something like this work?

i just thunk it up now, so i have no idea how it would actually turn out, but i think the concept is sound.

I think that would work, good job.....but what are those diamonds for and that one oval in the middle?

You can make three balls using a wedge pattern scaled to different sizes. Each ball will need about eight wedges. Then connect them together, cut holes for the mouth and your arm.

the diamonds are to create the bottom/top curves of the balls that overlap. Just think of it as two darts placed head to head. The oval in the middle is a pretty terrible mouth. I just put it there to make sure theres a mouth openning.

I'd go with Buck's wedgepattern. Simple and straight forward.
