Has anyone ever made a request?

I was just currious, has anyone ever requested a song on the radio? I just did for the first time in my life! I know it may not seem like a big deal to some people, but I am generally very shy, and these types of things make me nerveous! Of course, the operator didn't really help matters, *smile*
This is just an exerpt of the conversation:

O. How old are you?
Me. 21, I know, I probably sound a lot younger, right?
O. No, actually you sound a lot older. You sound like your voice is disguised.
Me, (with a slightly imbarrased laugh) No.
O. You sound like a friend of mine playing a trick on me.
Me. Maybe it's because I'm a little nerveous.
O. Why are you nerveous?
Me. Because this is the first request I've ever made.

It was smooth from there. All in all though, it was actually fun! Afterwards though, I was so pumped with adrenolin!
Sorry for the ramble; you probably think I'm a nut! But what are your experiences, if any?
