Well-known Calypso singer Harry Belafonte, famous for "The Banana Boat Song" and "Jump in the Line", has died at the age of 96.
The aforementioned songs were later heard in the 1988 film Beetlejuice - the latter song of when the young girl celebrated her "A" grade while dancing in mid-air just before the closing credits.
He also performed a segment on Sesame Street in the early 1980s, "The Coconut Counting Man" along with, of course, Count Von Count.
Sad loss in the music world. R.I.P. He's riding the banana boat to heaven now.
