Have a nice Memorial day to all the Americans on Muppet Central. It's not a holiday we have here, we commemorate war veterans and heroes on Remembrance Day, November 11 (your Veterans Day). So I'm not sure whether to wish you all a Happy Memorial Day or not; it sounds like a very sad holiday to me. But I hope you enjoy your day off!

Useless Canadian trivia fact: We had a long weekend LAST weekend! But it has nothing to do with your Memorial day at all.

Memorial Day is just for soldiers who actually died in war, as opposed to Veterans who are still alive or died after war. And you're right, the message isn't really entirely happy. It's remembering what a sad and terrible price people pay in war.

Of course, we tend to forget what the message is entirely and mainly concentrate on the days off etc. ::shrugs:: It is a flaw we humans have, hehe. So it is good to reflect on the meaning of the day.
