Hans Christian Andersen is 200 today

Today is 200 years birthday of the danish writer H.C. Andersens. Proberly best known for his fairytales "The emporors new cloth", "the Ugly duckling" and many others. This will be celebratete during the the day in Denmark.
It all started yesterday in the royal theater with a play based on some of his more unknown stories and poetry.

This evening there will be a big party in Copenhagen at "Parken" arena where a show called "Once Upon A Time" will start.
Jean Michel Jarre will open the show with his version of the story "Skyggen" (Shadow) other stars on the stage includes Tina Turner, Connie Nielsen, Helena Christensen, Olivia Newton-John, Daniel Bedingfield, Hayley Westenra, Morten Harket/A-HA, Safri Duo, Renée Fleming, Ennio Marchetto, Roger Moore, Isabel Allende, Lars Ulrich(Metallica), Cathy Freeman, Tap Dogs, a chorus with 350 children, 28 child ballet dancers from The danish royal ballet, Shenyang Acrobatic Troupe, Sydney White, Pax Baldwin & Harry Belafonte.

It's gonna be a great show, it will be broadcastet live to many countries and even more countries will be showing a cut version of the show later.
