I know that they're not the same person...just the same puppet but anyways...any fans?

I like the Guy Smiley character with a different voice in the movie theater with Bert & Ernie (I think it's Richard Hunt's doing the voice of the "Guy Smiley-Like" puppet behind Ernie). I'm still trying to find this sketch!!!

My favorite "Guy Smiley" sketch is probably the one where he goes into the bakery where Cookie monster starts chasing him around. (what rhymes with "Buy"???) I love where the baker and Mr. Smiley keep repeating "Pie" and "Buy" back and forth...."This is the pie I'm here to buy"!! Cookie monster still can't get it when he finally says "GUY RHYMES WITH BUY"!!!

As far as game show segments, my favorite is "What's My Part?" (Foot).

Prince Charming segment -- no contest....Rapunzel!!!

I also like the Guy Smiley like puppet in The Pied Piper. He speaks in like a hippy mode.

There has been alot of "Guy Smiley-like" characters (the guy who painted the splotches; the cook in Old King Cole and in King of Ps - King Perniferous (this puppet had it's eyes closed) etc .)))

I love Guy Smiley himself. He's so exuberant and zany and really fun to imitate.

I've always like Guy Smiley.

I also like Prince Charming in the "Rapunzel" and "Sleeping Beauty - Frog" News Flash skits, as well as the beatnik Pied Piper.

The first Guy Smiley-lookalike I saw on the show was the king in "The King and his Problem." It always confused me as a kid why he looked like Guy Smiley!

There are other Guy Smiley lookalikes, too. They include Don Music, Vincent Twice, Lance the Director one of the Tarnish Brothers, the Joe Hundred Guy, Monty, and several others (mostly in recent episodes).

GS lookalikes....

You think the guy (no pun intended) in the Movie Theater behind Ernie is Guy Smiley's twin. He's wearing the same blue suit as Mr. Smiley and he has the same eyes and hair (I can't remember if he had eyebrows).....BUT he has a different voice (I think a rough voice that sounds like Richard Hunt). Almost sounds alittle like Statler. All he says is "Do you mind" to Bert in the movie theater.

I've always loved Guy Smiley. A few years ago TV Guide voted him the #1 Television game show host (to the fury of many readers).

And the delight of many children (and children at heart), I suspect.

I am certainly a big fan of Guy Smiley. He's so funny! Remember that one episode when he's in the jungle with Dr Livingston, and guy smiley keeps talking loudly, and Dr Livingston keeps telling Guiy Smiley to be quiet? God! That has to be the funniest thing I've ever seen with guy smiley

Has anybody noticed that the cable guy in the People in Your Neighborhood skit with Ben Stiller looked like Guy Smiley?

Guy Smiley's my favorite.

And just today I saw him in a brand new PBS commercial. Guy was hosting a game show and the contestants were Cookie Monster, T-Bone from Clifford, and Grandma Thora from Arthur. Even though Guy's voice sounded a little different, it was a surprise and a treat to see him again.
