WHAT?!?!? sorry but I just have to say WHAT!?!?!?
I just watched that movie for the first time today, was all into it... (Always waiting for that famous line "I dont give a ****" line, cuz thats all I knew of the movie) and well, it reminded me of the first time I saw Lord of the Rings, (my first date with my fiancee!) and I knew NOTHING of the movie, or that it was planned to have 3 of them...so you wait and wait and wait, and for what, a cliff hanger, arg (dont get me wrong I loved both Lord of the rings and Gone with the Wind, but it just seems the longer movies tend to end like that) but... wow. Really does leave it up to the imagination hu?

Anyway, I guess Ill open this thread up to people who are fans of the movie, so it wont be just me blowing steam. but I feel better now.

You know they say, 100% of Americans have seen Gone With The Wind, and The Wizard of Oz... So I can now say Im in that 100%! They are the 2 most watched movies of all time, and they even shared a common director, Victor Flemming

The best thing about that movie was Scarlett's trasformation from a prissy socialite to a very strong and likeable character. I didn't think I'd like it because it seemed like a chick flick to me. But lo and behold, I liked it! I really liked it!

My Fiancee wants to watch it with me, at first he was sckeptical, cuz he says for a movie to be that long it has to have gore in it, and well, it does.

Its a diffrent view, not one you see very often, the civil war from the confederate side (maybe if your from the south, you may hear it more, but here in the west, you never do) So I really enjoyed it.

I watched Gone with the Wind for the first time this summer and I absolutely loved it! The ending was kind of a let down, but it was such a great story and idea. Scarlet definitely went through just about every bad experience you could think of. She was definitely a strong woman.
