Hi everyone.

I plan on making my own internet comic very soon, but first, I need to find a place to get my work copyrighted so no one will claim it as their own. Does anyone know how I can get my cartoon copyrighted so I can start downloading my stuff and posting? Any advice would be appreciated.

It's not cheap but Legalzoom.com seems to be easy enough.

Thanks, King Rupert. As soon as I get me a copyright, hopefully I can start posting my internet comic very soon.

Well, last Monday on March 22, I filled out a copyright form from the Library of Congress, put it in an envelope along with a copy of my cartoon and a money order for 50 bucks and mailed it off. I even asked the post office for a certified mail receipt to make sure it gets there okay. And now I'm checking my mailbox every day for the news if I can get a copyright or not.

I have no idea how long it will take. I have the pages of my cartoon stored in my computer just waiting to be posted on the net.
