This has been on my mind for a few days, so I thought I'd share my thoughts about computer viruses, worms, bugs, spyware, adware, et cetera.

It's not all that fun anymore having a computer; because there's always the chance of a virus or something sneaking into it and after you shut it down for the night, there's the chance it won't be able to boot back up the next morning. One of the main things that ticks me off about them is that you can obtain a virus simply by downloading something, be it a program, software, media file, et cetera...well, it seems that way for me, because I've downloaded things like that in the past and have gotten viruses from every one of them, meanwhile everyone else is downloading more things than I am, and seem to be living virus-free. I've recently been doing virus scans/checks and spyware/adware scans/checks practically everyday for fear I might have a little virus or something. Although I haven't had a full virus in a long time, my spyware checker seems to ALWAYS detect spyware each scan, but thankfully I am able to remove it from my computer. Now why do people spend their time creating such viruses to destroy other people's computers? Do they think it makes them cool? Do they think it's funny? What?

Well, those are my thoughts on computer nasties; how about you all?

I just got a mac and I am loving it!

No viruses slowing me up!

I went throught a million PC's. I think this mac will be my friend for a very long time.

Virus removing softwere can be just as much of a pain as viruses are themselves, too!

Nice to see you again Jackie! How's Emmy doing?

Sadly, I'm not too fond of Mac's myself; I've always found them kind of...well..."funky". And they've recently developed viruses for Mac's too!

Blech, I hate viruses. I'm just trying to get over one myself. I've been drinking a lot of orange juice and--

Oh. Those viruses. Right.

Thankfully I've never had a computer virus.

(But I have had a lot of experience with biological viruses. Can you tell?)

 Some people are just plain spoil-sports by nature. Nothing gives them greater pleasure than spoiling other people's fun. And in some cases also making their living a pain, since so much business is transacted over the net now as well.

Course that's the funny part of human sinful nature. They think it's a lark to do wrong by or to others but if somebody else hacked into their own computer they'd be whining about the injustice of it.
That's why Jesus said "Always do unto others what you would like them to do unto you." SIGH If only more people would see the principles of this having a computer would be much less hassling.
