"Visitors literally step onto Sesame Street and go hands-on with activities based on the world-famous television show. The exhibit reproduces elements of the show's familiar set in an engaging urban environment and leads visitors of all ages through three adventurous decades of the revolutionary children's television series."

It seems that there is a traveling hands on museum tour.

Something similar to this came here a few years ago and had actual Muppets behind glass displayed. I remember there was Big Bird, Kermit, and I think some Fraggles. I just remember kicking myself for not taking any pictures! Since it appears this is coming to my state next year maybe I'll go and actually take pictures this time!

This can be done as a fieldtrip. Normally it is $4.50 per student, but if scheduled before Oct. 31 it is $3 per student. This field trip includes at least one hour in the exhibit and a facilitated group activity.

3/31/2007-9/9/2007 Imagine It! Atlanta Children's Museum, Atlanta, GA
10/6/2007-4/27/2008 Minnesota Children's Museum, St. Paul, MN

Step onto Sesame Street and take a stroll with your favorite characters. Sesame Street will lead visitors of all ages through three adventurous decades of the revolutionary children’s television series. Children are invited to explore concepts about letters, numbers, words and diversity issues; while adults can explore how the innovative program emerged and developed over the years. Guests can also visit and discover Sesame Street’s bus shelter, Mucho “Rainbow” Bodega, Gina’s Day Care Center, Oscar’s Newsstand, and Bird Air Travel Agency.

Has anyone gone yet?
Any pictures?
