Fraggle Hair Material?

I want to make a couple fraggles but I am stumped on what they used for the hair on the head an tails. If anyone knows, could you tell me what it is and were I could get it that would be great.

I think they used ostrich feathers. If you check the puppeteers resources thread, I think they list sources.
