Flying Elmo

This seems to have puzzled a few fans for a while, so maybe someone out there might be able to help and identify this bit...

In the "I'm a Little Airplane" song, there's a brief clip of Elmo flying through the air, with an orange paper hat on his head. I made sure I double-checked and didn't possibly over look it during his "In Your Imagination" song, but that's not where it came from obviously.

Does anyone recall a sketch that had Elmo flying while wearing an orange paper hat?
