Floyd in Come Together?

According to Muppet Wiki, The Come together Sketch on The Ed Sullivan Show had an Early Version of Floyd. is this True or not?

Depends on who's written them...

As far as I know, Floyd first appeared in the Muppet Show pilot.

Of course, it's entirely possible that the sketch in question had a prototype of Floyd's character and/or puppet, but I don't think that would have counted as exactly the same...right?

I think we'd need to watch the actual sketch in order to be completely sure of things.

Wiki is a very reliable source. It says that a look a like of Floyd was on there, so maybe he was inspiration for Floyd later. Also a muppet who looks like Dr. Teeth appeared so that might have also been some inspiration.

But yeah, trust muppet wiki.
