Fanfic: Big Bird and Oscar visit Pee-Wee's Playhouse

(We see Pee Wee walking to his toy shelf)

Pee-Wee: Oh hey there! I didnt see you come in! I have two friends from Sesame Street coming here-Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch! Hmm...wonder what my toys are up to...
(cuts to claymation toys)
Chairy: Hey Pee Wee, why dont we find out what's today's secret word?
Pee Wee: Why dont we?
(Pee Wee plugs in Konki)
Konki: Konk-k-k-i 2-2-000...rready to assisst you Pee Wee!
Pee Wee: Good morning Konki! Do you know what's today's secret word?
(Konki gets the secret word)
Pee Wee: Today's secret word is(holds up paper)DOWN. Now, you all know what to do whenever anyone says the secret word out loud right?
Everyone: Scream!
Pee Wee: Thats right! For the rest of the day whenever you hear someone say the secret word, scream real loud! Lets try...Hey Mr Kite! What's the opposite of up?
Mr. Kite: Umm...down?
(everyone screams/secret word flashes on screen)
Mr Kite: I must have said the secret word huh?
Pee Wee: Yup

(doorbell rings)
Pee Wee: I'll get it! I'll get it!
(Pee Wee opens the door and its Big Bird carrying a trashcan)
Everyone: Big Bird!
Big Bird: Hi everyone!
Pee Wee: Hi there Big Bird! Its so wonderful to have you here!
Big Bird: I like watching your show
Pee Wee: But wait...isnt there someone else who's supposed to be coming along?
Big Bird: Who Oscar?
Pee Wee: Yeah.
Big Bird: Well...he's right here
Pee Wee: But I dont see him. ll I see is that trashcan...
(Oscar pops out of trashcan)
Pee Wee: Oscar!
Oscar: Hey what's all the racket here? Oh hey Pee Wee!
Pterry: So tell me guys...is it always a sunny day on Sesame Street?
Big Bird: Well usually...
Oscar: But sometimes it rains heh heh
Pee Wee: Now that youre both here, what do you want to do?
Big Bird: Hmm...how about we watch a Penny cartoon?
Pee Wee: Good idea!
(cuts to Penny cartoon)

Oscar: Hey, Im hungry
Big Bird: Me too
Pee Wee: Me three! Ill go fix a snack for all of us!

Pee Wee goes to the kitchen and fixes a snack for the two. He comes back with...a birdseed milkshake and a sardine sandwich

The flowers announce that the king of cartoons is coming. the king appears at the door

Cartoon plays

Magic screen: Hey, wanna play with me?

Pee Wee, Big Bird and Oscar jump into the magic screen, play connect the dots, which turn into...a swingset.

Big Bird wishes that he could fly.
Jambi: Wish? Did somebody say wish?
Big Bird: I did
Jambi: Then repeat after me: Mekkalekka high mekkahinneho, mekkalekkahimekkachineeho...

(Big Bird's wish is granted. Big Bird actually flies into the sky...then says " I think I wanna go down now"

(everyone screams because he said the secret word)

The Playhouse gang then make crafts out of everyday objects. Oscar joins them...making stuff out of trash.

But now its time for the two to go back to Sesame Street. Pee Wee gives them a ride back home.

I really love this. I know nothing at all about Pee-wee's Playhouse but I have seen the film Pee-wee's Big Adventure when he is searching for his stolen bicycle and I laughed my head off.
Big Bird and Oscar are an excellent combination though it's hard to imagine why Oscar would consent to come even though Pee-wee says he has two friends coming to visit so I suppose even a grouch needs to have true friends he will consent to visit from time to time
My hat is off to the author of this little story

I watched Pee-Wee's Playhouse all the time when it was on TV. Did you ever see the vintage SS clip where Pee Wee recited the alphabet? He pulled the letters out of his front jacket pocket.

I've got a fan-fic idea too. But before I can post it, I've gotta write it out. It works better for me if I first write it down.

Pee Wee: "AAAAHHHHHHHH! Secret word!"

BTW, there was a clip from Sesame Street in one episode: Pee-Wee goes to the fridge to get something and he sees the clay fruits watching SS-it's from(I think)1990, and it has Big Bird rollerskating down the street next to his nest/Oscar's trashcan area. Big Bird was also wearing a red/blue tie in that clip(the same tie he wears at Sesame Place and in the Sesame Street Live shows)
