Fake Fur Recommendation

Hi,

I am going to make a Big Bird doll for my daughter and I would like to know if anyone can recommend a fake fur which resembles feathers. I like the fur on Zoe and others. It has a nice texture to it. It looks as though it is a long fiber fake fur that has been washed or something to make it look kind of messy. Well, I'd like something like that for the doll. Any suggestions?

I have seen a lot of furs that would work, the probably is finding it in your area. Have you looked at Mendel's web site - http://www.mendels.com

I think I may order some swatches and mess around with them.
