After just posting about a skit where Ernie keeps Bert awake by talking about shapes, I thought of this one where he keeps Bert awake by talking about what he should do the next day. As they are about to go to sleep Ernie asks Bert, "What do we do tomorrow, Bert?" Bert just wants to sleep and not worry about how they'll spend their day but Ernie keeps talking out loud about it. He mentions about maybe going to the zoo. But then he keeps going back and forth about wanting to go. He thinks maybe it will rain, for example. Bert just keeps agreeing with whatever Ernie wishes, "Fine! We won't go to the zoo tomorrow." "Okay, we'll go to the zoo. Goodnight Ernie!"
After it's finally established that they will go to the zoo, Ernie then asks Bert what day it is tomorrow. Bert says Wednesday. Ernie says, "The zoo is closed on Wednesdays." And then after all that we are right back where we started because Ernie says, "What do we do tomorrow, Bert?"

That was a very good one and I haven't seen it shown in years.

Ernie and Bert sure seem to live a life of leisure. It's the middle of the week and all they have to worry about is whether to go to the zoo or not. LOL

Yeah really! Like that skit where Ernie wants to go to a parade, circus, or a birthday party with Bert but instead spends his day looking at Bert's bottlecap collection, which is fascinating to Bert but boring to Ernie. At the end Ernie is very melancholy and says sarcastically, "It sure has been an exciting day, huh?" Well Ernie, it may not have been a fun and exciting day but at least it was yet another day of leisure rather than hard work and responsibilty! Kee hee hee hee hee.

it would of been nice if Ernie could of been more appreciative even though he may have not found it interestingand not let it ruin his day. he also could have been happy for Bert as well.
