I have the skit on #1364 where Ernie is crying. Ernie is crying, because he is worried that he would hang out with the monsters instead, until Bert enters and Bert thinks he is not hanging out with the monsters, so this makes Ernie feel happy!

Were there any other skits where Ernie is crying?

One that I know of. (I have it on tape.) It begins with Ernie sobbing--he wanted to go out and play baseball, but it was raining. So he imagines he's playing. At the end, Bert says it's stopped raining; Ernie can go out and play now. "No I can't," said Ernie. "The baseball's at the bottom of the ocean!"

(Ernie must've been playing in San Francisco, hitting a homer into McCovey Cove!)
