If any "normal" episode of Sesame Street should've had the whole alphabet as a sponsor, #131 makes the top of my list. Not counting Bill Cosby's alphabet, there were eight clips that taught specific letters; only two of those (a song and a street scene) focused on the same letter. (Both Noggin and the DVD left them all in, so it's not an editing difference like the one in Episode #536.)

Announcing G, J, K, M, N, Q, and U as sponsors would've taken too much time though--not to mention confusing the kids. CTW might as well have said "Sesame Street was brought to you today by the whole alphabet, and by the number 2." That way they could've dropped most of those clips in favor of making the Granny Grouch story longer...

I've mentioned this in several other threads. I wonder why the letter sponsors where shortened from three to one in one year. I also wonder when the show started having two letter sponsors again.

Judging by the Muppet Wiki, Season 7 is when two-letter sponsorships became the usual rule. A few episodes featuring two letters aired during Seasons 2-6, but they weren't as common.
