I haven't seen this one since Ford was our president, but I remember it quite well.

Father: First was me
Mother: Then was we
Father and mother together: Then was them
Everybody: And that made all of us
And we're a family
A family
A family
Each like the other sister brother father mother
Repeat verse twice
Chorus: And the dog came later on
And so did the cat and the goldfish
And the turtle and the frog and the car...
...(Beep!) Until we moved and we sold it!

Verse twice
Chorus
Verse
Coda (3 times) A perfectly ordinary ordinarily perfect
A perfectly ordinary ordinarily perfect
(Last time with everyone wearing wrong clothes/hats/eyes/facial hair, etc)
A perfectly ordinary ordinarily perfect FAMILYYYYY!!!!

Hopes this helps.
Any other questions from the Old School era (1969-74) Ask Dr. Fuzzy. I was there!

All right, since we're asking for translations...

I remember one of those "real life" bits, and there was a group singing a zydeco-style song in Creole French, and there were kids dancing and stuff. And I think it ended with everyone saying "Au Revoir! /oh vwah/" Anybody know what they were singing and what it means?
