I was watching the 3rd disk of TMS Season 1 yesterday and noticed Gonzo became a bit more energetic in "Ben Vereen" and also in the episodes following "Vincent Pryce", not counting "Twiggy". I think the praise he'd long desired from the audience gave him confidence in himself as an actor, which is kind of funny, as he seemed to gain acceptance before Fozzie, and may have even been encouraged by Scooter's exclamation of "That's the greatest show we've ever done!" Also, it seemed Gonzo and Scooter were on friendly terms with each other, since he bragged to Scooter about how the audience loved him, and in the second episode of season one, Scooter addressed him as "Gonz" and seemed to agree with Gonzo that his teddy was still perfectly good. Something tells me Scooter's praise and support in several episodes meant a lot to Gonzo.
