The last time I saw it on ebay, the seller put it at a reserve price of $1,000. Let's see how much this one goes for. Here's hoping that the lucky winner ends up happy too.:smile::smile:

I only very recently learned of the existence of the Ideal puppets... when I saw the commercial playing at the Jim Henson's Fantastic World traveling Smithsonian exhibition, in fact.

I don't care too much for Kermit's red torso, and the Rowlf pales in comparison to the Fisher-Price version... but I am intrigued enough at the odd decision to market a Snerf to think that one would be a fun investment.

Its amazing that a company nearly 50 years ago managed to capture a better likeness of Kermit than some of the newer Disney and Steiff plushes!

Would love to own him, but bit too pricey, and he's not boxed!

Great item.

Philip, do you already have an ideal Kermit? (I don't know why I felt compelled to ask that...)
