8 early storyboards from "The Dark Crystal" by Mike Ploog
(Kira calls the Landspiders [Leapers?] with a horn)
"Landspiders" were earlier versions of the "Landstriders"
The Japanese website from which these were taken; calls them "Leapers"
It appears that these are screenshots; taken from a Japanese public satellite TV program about film special effects, that aired in 1987. Interviews with Dark Crystal producer Gary Kurtz and storyboard artist Michael Ploog. Ploog appears to describe the storyboards from slides. There were screenshots of 17 storyboards from this same scene; but I could only retrieve 8 of them.
