What do you think about the new DREAMGIRLS movie? Are you going to see it? To me, it looks like a rip-off of HAIRSPRAY'S Dynamites.

I think I'll see it. I'm curious how many parallels it will have with the story of The Supremes (I wrote a term paper on them once )

And I'm a sap for feel good movies like that.

If anything, Hairspray's Dynamites is "ripping-off" The Supremes. I personally don't think they're "ripping-off", it's just a tribute, really.

I plan on seeing this movie, it looks good

Dreamgirls was a broadway musical long before Hairspray... Dreamgirls opened on Broadway in '81. The first Hairspray movie didn't even come out until 1988...

As for the movie... I can't wait to see it... keep an eye on Dreamgirls, I have a feeling it's going to be a big nominee at the Oscars this year. We may have another Chicago on our hands.

LOL! Since I wasn't born on or around 1981 I wouldn't know! It seems to me that Movie-Musicals are going to be a big hit next year and this month!
