Does anybody remember Seabert?

I know this may be a shot in the dark, but does anybody remember the cartoon that was on HBO, and in the late 80's came just before Fraggle Rock about a Baby Seal named Seabert? It was about a young boy named Tommy who went on a vacation with his Uncle Smokey. They went on Uncle Smokey's boat with his friends Carbone and Sulfiric. They head out to Greenland which surprizes Tommy because it's summer. Tommy soon finds out his Unlce and his friends are baby seal hunters, and he makes an effort to protect the baby seals from them, in doing so he befriends a baby seal who he names Seabert and gives him a collar with a gold locket. He later meets an Eskimo Girl names Aura, who befriends him and her family invites Tommy and Seabert to live with them, and Aura's father builds Tommy and Seabert their own house. The first handful of episodes they protected the baby seals from Tommy's Uncle Smokey and friends, and by another local seal hunter named Graphite, but in later episodes they started helping Animals outside Greenland Like Rhinos in Africa, Sea Otters in California, etc. Sometimes there would be unknown Hunters they were protecting the animals from and other times. Tommy's Uncle Smokey and his 2 sidekicks, or Graphite and his workers would happen to be the hunters that were going after these animals! It was a great Cartoon, it was on HBO from 1987-1989 and never came back on. I loved this, and it was what I started watching on a regular basis once Fraggle Rock went off the air and it stopped me from missing Fraggle Rock as much. It seems to be a rather unpopular forgotten cartoon though because nobody hardly remembers it. I figured people on here might though. Let me know, thanks.

No, it was American, and the first several episodes took place in Greenland. It was on HBO from 1987-1989 and orignally came on right after Fraggle Rock.
