I guess Disney's decided that CGI/live-action = big box office success, seeing that the last movie didn't make as much as they hoped it would. And unlike the last movie, this one's getting a world-wide release. And it's going to be in 3-D. And there's gonna be a bunch of pointless celebrity cameos (I'm not gonna say who they are. Just look at the two links; they're sure gonna make you scream with rage!)
Looking at the pictures of the reimagined Muppets, some look way off; Gonzo looks more like the vulture from the Nickelodeon short "Attack of the Giant Vulture". Only Fozzie seems to closely resemble his puppet form.
Although I will say that the actors playing Statler and Waldorf are dead-on!
