Yeah i might try it myself. Y'know Jamie that'd make a great article for MC with photos and things. Maybe some people's Muppet figure customisations could also be included as well as picture instructions on changing Piggy heads.

I have my Muppets set up inside the Colorforms Muppet Theater from the 80s. It's the perfect size and a good theater set until we get the real thing. The set comes in two layers so it's easy to create a stand between the background and the curtain frame for the cast to stand. Characters can also be placed infront of the set. This creates a tiered effect that works well.
Do you know where I could find a pic of the colorforms playset or where I coulld buy one?

I'd try ebay. They circulate every now and then. It's the colorforms set that has the famous Muppet cast poster (pre floating head Piggy) on the cover. I also use the Muppet Disco colorforms set for the repaints and tux versions.

You SHOULD post pics of that Colorforms set--I haven't ever seen it, and didn't even know it existed. And a DISCO set? Wow. Very cool.

I almost bought a little mirror ball the other day for my Muppets, but decided Disco was dead and should remain that way.

Ohhh. Poor disco ball. :frown: Well, disco is dead, but the disco balls are here to stay. I remember that recycling commercial about a beer bottle that became a disco ball. Always made me smile.

I'll take some pictures in a few weeks. The set up is really kind of cool. The disco set is pretty borng, but the theater rocks.

Was there a seperate UK version of that Colorforms set too ? It's just i have it (i think) in the attic boxed away somewhere and i'm pretty sure that i had Gonzo as a character with it as well as the others. I'm pretty sure the box isn't anything like the one in the picture and they aren't called Colorforms here either so i guess it would have had to be redone anyway.

Gonzo could have been in another one, but he is actually drawn on the theater panels under Statler and Waldorf.
