We lost a giant in the industry. That massive health problem he had several years back did a lot of damage, he was starting to rebound and then this happened. That's a very depressing way to go. Just as you slowly start to get better.

But he left a huge legacy of game shows, production companies... saying the guy was legend is an understatement. Saying he will be missed is also an understatement.

What a tremendous loss...you know it's so sad to see people of our grandparents generation slowly passing away. We have lost a lot of great legends over the years. It's amazing how fast time passes. I remember watching the pyramid with my grandparents when I was little. Such great memories. He will be greatly missed.

RIP Dick Clark

This is such a tragic loss. He was truly a legend and a great man. New Year's Eve will never be the same without ringing in the new year with Dick Clark. RIP

Unfortunately, Dick Clark was pretty much before my time, so I can't really truthfully say that I have a favorite moment or memory involving him... I know he's been hosting his New Year's Eve special for all these years, and it has been sad to see his health deteriorate with each passing year, so this is quite a sad loss.

Dick Clark: Older people worry, they see the way you're dressed, they hear your music, they don't understand it. Do parents have anything to worry about?

Jefferson Airplane: I think so. Their children are doing things that they didn't do and they don't understand it.

Dick Clark: Alright, that's a square answer!
