Okay, I'm going to pick your brains here. Suppose you were stranded on a desert island, but you did have a DVD player and a tv, and you were able to have ONE Sesame clip. Just one. What would it be?

And before people get too analytical in thinking "Where would you plug in a tv and DVD player on a deseert island?" Just suppose for the sake of argument they were battery-powered, okay? Now, you still can have one clip with you.
Out of the thousands, which would you choose?

My own choice would be "Roosevelt Franklin's Days of the Week", which shows RF singing with a bunch of Anything Muppets. Curiously, their week starts on Monday and ends on Sunday.

This clip which I remember from the first time they ever showed it, to me shows the best of all the talented people of Sesame Street working together: Jim Henson's Muppets, Joe Raposo's music, Matt Robinson's and Loretta Long's vocal talents, and Jon Stone's direction. That clip always made me so happy, and no need to ask me twice to sing along.

So it may not be an easy choice, but what would yours be? Give it some thought, and thanks for sharing.

The "Days of the Week" song is from episode #179 of "Sesame Street".

Although Scat Cat is my favorite clip, I wouldn't pick that one. I would pick the one where Count spends the night with B&E and counts sheep. The next morning Ernie comes out with bags on his eyes and he's up to 43,000+ and he passes out. Favorite B&E clip by far.

Better bring lots of batteries!

Only one? Dude!!!!! :stick_out_tongue:

For reasons of sentimentality (and other mentalities), it would have to be the old 1969 "kids running down the Brooklyn Bridge at the end of the clip" one.

Groove on, Fuzzy Gobo. :smirk:

I thought this thread was about the insert with Bob joining Maria and Luis stranded on a desert island.

I couldn't pick just one, but if I could pick a particular theme, I would want all the Ernie & Bert sketchs, as they were always my favorites.

If I had to pick just one, I suppose it would be the pot on the head sketch, where Ernie broke the cookie jar and had to use all those things for storing stuff(including Bert's cowboy hat).

Supposing I'm on a dessert island, I'll have lots of time on my hands, so the longer the clip, the better. Still, it's not a skit, but for mood purposes, I'd like to have the sketch of Ernie singing "I Don't Want to Live on the Moon."
