Okay, I'm going to pick your brains here. Suppose you were stranded on a desert island, but you did have a DVD player and a tv, and you were able to have ONE Sesame clip. Just one. What would it be?
And before people get too analytical in thinking "Where would you plug in a tv and DVD player on a deseert island?" Just suppose for the sake of argument they were battery-powered, okay? Now, you still can have one clip with you.
Out of the thousands, which would you choose?
My own choice would be "Roosevelt Franklin's Days of the Week", which shows RF singing with a bunch of Anything Muppets. Curiously, their week starts on Monday and ends on Sunday.
This clip which I remember from the first time they ever showed it, to me shows the best of all the talented people of Sesame Street working together: Jim Henson's Muppets, Joe Raposo's music, Matt Robinson's and Loretta Long's vocal talents, and Jon Stone's direction. That clip always made me so happy, and no need to ask me twice to sing along.
So it may not be an easy choice, but what would yours be? Give it some thought, and thanks for sharing.
