Dead Roadside Animals

Ever saw a dead animal on the road? I'm sure all of us have at one point. Sometimes I really feel sorry for the poor animal.

I remember several "encounters."

My most recent time was a dead dog my mom and I saw. We were driving home on the freeway, and we started seeing a long trail of blood. We then rolled past this dead dog, whose body parts were scattered all over the place! It was really hard to believe.

Another time was when my mom and I were coming back from dropping my dad off at the airport, where we saw this deer. I figure it was probably hunting season, since the deer's head was chopped off! We saw no head, just the body. It was the weirdest site, and I didn't want to eat anything for the rest of the day,lol.

One time, it was actually my dad's fought for hitting an animal. I don't remember much since I was very young, but my dad was driving me home from school, when he told me he had just hit a squirrel. Imagine the look on my face after that! I even remember my mom seeing a dead opposum(sp?) in front of our garage days after. Craaazy I tell ya.

Other times I remember seeing a dead racoon, a dead bird(freaky if you've seen them), and a dead canadian goose(or geese, whatever). And those geese really don't deserve to be ran over, I mean it's their fought there slow on their feet! I almost cried seeing those guys get hit.


Has anyone else ever seen a dead animal that was somewhat unbelievable to see? Like it was just too "horrible" to look at?

I've ran over a squirrel before. I had no intention of doing it, it just happened.

But I've seen dead cats, dogs, squirrels, birds, possums, racoons, skunks, and others.

I think I saw a dead cow on the highway one time.

I've seen cats, dogs, birds, squirells, rabbits, mice, deer, goats, skunks, possums, racoons, and a very large furry thing that I couldnt make out what it was. It might have been a coyote

I'm seen lots of dead animals on the road before.

I see mostly woodland animals on the roadside. Whenever I go walking, I see a dead chipmunk in someone's driveway.

Oh! I see road kill all the time around here! Snakes, cats, wolves and some things that I have no idea what they are... Yeah I get those too.
