I know David Rudman started performing Baby Bear in Season 23, but does anyone remember the first charachter he performed on the show, and what sketch it was in?

I don't know if this was the first character, but there was a short lived owlet (or is is "owllet?") named Athena, who was the granddaughter or niece of Hoots. She liked to scat. One of the cutest memories I have is her trying to get musical advice from Placido Flamingo.

Again, I don't know if this was the first. He began appearing in the late '80's doing background Anything Muppets, talking letters and other inanimate objects, etc. And every now and again, he'd be the odd "yip yip yip" alien. (I get the idea he has fun doing that one.)

There's a photo online or in a book somewhere of his performing both hands of Leo Monster, another short lived Richard Hunt character.

I remember David Rudman being credited on the "Sesame Street: 20 and Still Counting Special." In fact, his name was credited when they showed Grover, Cookie Monster and Herry. Maybe he occassionally played Cookie Monster when Frank was busy performing Grover or vice-versa. That would make sense because David plays Cookie Monster most of the time these days.

I don't remember what season this sketch was released, but I remember the Prairie Dawn/Grover remake of "Singing in the Rain". David played the muppet that kept on falling asleep in Prairie Dawn's director chair.
