My family and I went to a Dia de Los Muertos event downtown San Antonio on Saturday. There was a procession organized by http://www.lasmonas.org with their signature giant puppets.
My daughter was having her picture taken with the group and was ultimately invited to be part of the official procession.
She was handed a small puppet by the group leader and joined in on the fun. She was rocking out with the puppet, becoming a mini celebrity. She preformed with the puppet over head for the entire 30 minute procession thru the crowded streets of La Villita.
Big thanks to Alyssa Mergele for the awesome makeup that probably got her noticed. https://m.facebook.com/GetStarstruk?_rdr
