I actually very vaguely remember watching this at the time. - I think I was a bit too young to really understand what it was all about. I just remember these people were doing strange things with their arms at about head height. I guess it was the first time I had seen puppeteers demonstrating their puppetry.
It was only some years later, re-reading Blue Peter Annual No 20 that I realised EXACTLY what I had seen that day. It was from the pictures in that annual that I also realised I had unwittingly seen (for the first time) a performer who would later become a particular favourite of mine.
