I've seen five similar cartoons on recent Sesame Street episodes: a group of primitive-looking animals alternate between dancing and forming a letter/number (which a male offscreen voice names out loud). The background music was a funky saxophone riff, if that jogs anyone else's memory. I wonder who thought of these cartoons first, and who drew them (if they weren't the same person).
P.S. The "Little Big Bird" episode was the first time I saw a number cartoon (for 20) in that style; the other four taught letters (O, S, W, Y).
