I remember seeing in the Canadian broadcasts back in the late-1970s, the episode in which The Amazing Mumford makes Sesame Street disappear. It was one of the first episodes I ever saw. CBC also aired the rerun during Season 9.

But did he really make Sesame Street disappear?

Truth is, if he really did make Sesame Street disappear, there would be no staticky void in the background. There would probably be the remainder of Manhattan in the background if he really did make Sesame Street disappear. For there to be a staticky void for Bob, Maria, Mumford and two kids to end up in, I think the more appropriate plot should be "The Amazing Mumford makes the world disappear".

I downloaded the video last weekend.

Also, were the visual effects of the staticky void created using Scanimate technology?
