Rather unsavoury news about Chris Langham has been appearing of late. Sadly in this case the rumours have proved true.

"Award-winning comedy actor Chris Langham has been charged with 15 counts of making indecent images of children, Kent police said on Thursday."

Langham's arrest mentioned in EW's monitor.

According to Entertainment Weekly (which said he was charged with possessing child pornography, not making it.), Langham is eager to clear is name. I hope this turns our to be some kind of misunderstanding as with the case of Pete Townshend.

I was wondering if this will lead to one of those classic Disney knee-jerk reactions that will result in Langham's guest star episode being cut from its respective dvd episode. Hope not.

I don't think they would cut any guest star's episode entirely just because of a scandal involving the celebrity in question. At least I hope they wouldn't. We love every Muppet Show no matter what shame may be truthfully or otherwise rubbed upon the guest star personally.

And I do agree and hope that this is all just a big mistake involving Mr.Langham.

Time is always a factor with Disney. Immediately following Paul Reubens's indecent exposure arrest, the PeeWee Herman segment vanished from the soundstage tour at the Disney-MGM Studios. The segment was returned to the tour sometime later after all the talk died down.
However, this news is not making the kind of headlines that Reubens's did. So unless this becomes one of those huge "everybody's talking about it" scandals, I doubt Disney will even notice.

But this is how duplicitous they can be. Even though they now own the show, I doubt Disney execs would notice his name flying by in the end credits, but they would notice it being announced by Kermit at the top of the show. Disney caves to public outcry like nobody's business. Just look at what happened to Aladdin.

But since Langham is still relatively unknown in the USA, I would still continue to doubt my own speculation. It's just one of those things I can't help but wondering about. We're just great about overreacting over here.
