Character pairs with no chemistry

Have you ever noticed that some charachters on Sesame Street they never show in a scene together? Not because they are performed by the same person, but because there's really not much that can be done with the 2 charachters. Here a couple of examples

Kermit and Bert

Cookie Monster and Forgetful Jones

That's true, I think I even saw them talking to each other but you couldn't hear what they were saying cause of the music. I wonder what they were saying???

Telly and Kermit

I can think of a few Telly and Kermit scenarios, but they were mostly Brian Meehl's Telly. There was Telly trying to sell a headwarmer to Kermit, and another skit where Telly helped Kermit with a lecture by trying to find things that were the same about them. A "News Flash" scene involved Kermit and Telly (Marty) being sent to the same location to do a story on cooperation.

In all of these, Telly was his usual worried and neurotic self while Kermit had the "You can do it" attitude. I thought they worked well together, and maybe may have continued to if it wasn't for Jim's passing.

I remember the sketches that Splurge mentioned. I think the headwarmer one was Marty's Telly. Brian performed Telly before I was born, so I probably wouldn't have remembered anything with his Telly.

I didn't know Forgetful was in ESC. I know this was made after Richard Hunt's passing, so I wonder who performed him. Whoever it was, you think they could bring him back on a regular basis.
