Building a posable puppet hand

My first attempt at a "how-to" video. I devised a technique for building posable puppet hands. This demo shows how to do it for a Project Puppet Simple Series pattern, but it will work with most any hand type you'd want to build. Hope this helps some folks out!

In the video, I show inserting a tube into the hand for the arm rod AFTER the fleece is sewn on - not the easiest way to to do it! I messed up and sewed too far on the fleece. It's far easier to insert the tube into the foam palm shape and glue it in place - THEN sew the fleece around it. Learn by doing!

Nice video! A cool method of building a posable hand. I would never have thought of the foam insulation strips! Clever devil.
