Does anyone here know what the very last episode Bruno ever appeared in? I know it was in 1993 but I don't remember it. I read in Carroll Spinney's Book The Wisdom of Big Bird the reason why Bruno stopped appearing on the show was because the Bruno Costume fell apart.

I dunno, but I miss Bruno. I even remember once in a while he would talk. I think his mouth moved by "Oscar's hand" pulling a string from inside the trashcan. Didn't say much, though.

No help at all to your question. Just reminiscing.

Oh yes he did. That's what was fun about it. Try to imagine a deep gruff Caroll voice that chuckled, and that's what you'd get.

I remember one scene where they were in the library and Oscar was in no mood to hear the nice story being read aloud (either "Snow White" or "Rapunzel" or one of the classics). Oscar told him to take him home but Bruno said, "No no. I wanna hear the story." So he stayed.

Ah, I must have missed the ones where Bruno talked. I thought he was always mute like Sully. His character was cool and pretty different in that I don't remember seeing any other "human" muppets in costume form. The book, "Sesame Street Unpaved" said that Bruno was there to make Oscar more mobile. I don't completely understand that need since Oscar had already walked around the street with and without his trash can. They probably just knew it would be a clever idea to have a costume and a muppet all in one.

Whats sad is that what I heard is that the costume fell apart. I figured that they would at least bring him back. Its just since He does BB he proubly wouldn't want to do Bruno again. I remember a episode where Bruno danced. He put Oscar down and started dancing for some song that Oscar was singing.
