The full list

Over thanksgiving weekend Bravo aired a five part coutdown show and guess who made the list.... Kermit and Miss Piggy. They were number 34 and they beat people like Laverne and Shirley, the Friends, Cliff Huxtable, The Beaver. This was only prime time characters as no cartoons or such were included. This also therefore excludes Big Bird and Elmo who i'm sure would have made the list otherwise. The segment included numerous others form the list talking about kermit and Piggy like on i love the 80's. It also included new Kermit interviews.

from the website:
This comprehensive five-part series will focus its critical eye on famous television characters that have become a part of the fabric of American pop culture. Blending classic moments, rare photos and interview with both stars and show creators, the series will spotlight how our favorite TV characters broke out of the pack to emerge as pop icons. Some of today's hottest TV stars will share their all-time favorites and influences as well. From Eleanor Frutt to Carrie Bradshaw, Ed Norton to Niles Crane, Scully & Mulder to Crockett and Tubbs, they come in all sizes, sexes and combinations.
