BIG week coming up!

Hi-ho! Kathy the Human here!
This upcoming week is going to be a biggie for my family & I. Tomorrow is my parents' 40th anniversary!! So it'll be great!They don't know it yet,but my 2 brothers and one sister have booked them on a cruise for early December! We're slipping the itinerary into one of the cards tomorrow. They are gonna be SO shocked!
I'll be going to New York this upcoming week because my older brother is getting married!(it's a second marriage,but that's beside the point) I'm going to be a bridesmaid! So this should be really fantastic!
I'm not leaving til Friday (I think) So I'll still be around to post until then.

Wow that's such a great surprise for them. And interestingly, my parents divorced in 1983, but this month would have also been their 40th anniversary too.
And are you going to NYCity or upstate NY? I used to live in upstate NY. Have a great time!

We're going to NYCity. I've only been to Upstate NY a couple of times but it was nice.
Sorry about your parents divorcing in '83 My parents came very close in '89 but reconciled.

Congratulations on your parents' anniversary, Kathy! When you say your parents' anniversary, I assume you mean the anniversary of their wedding day. I'm happy for you! In another couple of months or, so my parents will be celebrating their big 2-O!

My older brother thought of the cruise idea so I can't really take all the credit.But yeah...40 years is a long time. I'm proud of both of them.
I'm hoping all goes well at the wedding next week too. Scary thing is,remember the "Runaway Bride" Jennifer (I forgot her last name?)that was in the news? Well my brother's fiancee looks something like her!
I don't think she'll do that to my brother though. She's way too smart!
