Big Bird in China

just a question- I have a vague recollection of this Sesame Street special where i'm pretty sure its Big Bird and Snuffy- they meet this prince and his parents turn into stars (literally-like solar system) it was really cool. This was still before anyone else could see Snuffy- and I distinctly remember that one of the characters was named Sa-hu.. was this Big Bird in China?- its been sooooooooo long but i remember it so fondly!!! thanks!

It sounds like you are remembering "Don't Eat the Pictures- Sesame Street at the Metropolitan Museum of Art" a movie about the sesame street gang visiting and getting locked in the museum. It's been forever since I saw it myself, but I know snuffy was not visible in the movie. Big Bird and Snuffy wander off to a place in the museum where they meet an ancient Egyptian prince- a little boy. He wants to get to his parents in the afterlife. I remember the boy's heart must be weighed against a feather and it must be lighter. Some kind of judge has a scale for this purpose. The boy's parents may have become stars, I can't really remember. Big Bird helps him find them. The movie is available at several online stores and sometimes appears on ebay. Let me know if this helps!

Thats TOTALLY IT!!!!! woah! now i remember more of it! that was so awesome too! i remember the song about not eating the pictures cuz cookie monster wan't to eat them! thanks so much!
