Hi folks, I was recently reminded of this wonderful model from the 1985 'Art of the Muppets' exhibit.
Does anyone have better images of the model?
The best ones I could find were these screen-grabs from a KermiClownVideo made using someone's home movie and the audio tour.
Kermit is talking about a Sesame Street portion of the exhibit, then says, "When you're ready, let's walk to your right, where you'll see a scale model of me riding my bicycle. Maybe you've wondered how I do it. Well, as you can see, the model is split."
"One side shows how closeup shots are done with the puppeteers pulled along on dollies."
"And the other side shows how wide shots are done. Those people on the crane are supporting the bike with strings, while my head is worked by radio control."
I would love to see this model in better resolution. The exhibit toured for three years. Surely someone must have higher quality photos?
