Episode 1 - Stephanie D'Abruzzo / "Arm Rods" / Not Puppets (Martin P. Robinson)
Premiere: August 12, 2020

In the premiere episode of Below the Frame, Matt talks with Sesame Street Muppet Performer Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Prairie Dawn). We also learn about how "Arm Rods" are used in puppetry, and Matt asks Sesame Street Muppet Performer Martin P. Robinson (Telly Monster, Snuffy, Slimey the Worm) something about NOT puppets.

I'm still going to miss the visual version of BTF with all of the Muppet Performers congregating in their lounge to swap and share stories, but I suppose with COVID going around, they can't really do that right now.

I think even if COVID didn't come, transitioning to a podcast would still happen. Matt said doing BTF became too difficult to do during their lunch break. The good news is Matt is posting the podcast on YT and the entire first season of BTF is uploaded too.

Been listening to the podcast while working out. It's great! Matt and Stephanie are hands down 2 of my favorite puppeteers. The stories they talk about are just so great to listen to.
