You know after watching The episode about Baby Bear's first day of School the other day, I couldn't help but wondering if that was an attempted Spin Off Series. Only about 30 seconds of that show actually took place on the street with Baby Bear in Hooper's Store getting his school supplies from Alan and saying goodbye to Telly. All the rest of the episode was about Nuresery Rhyme charachters we had never seen before on the show. I am wondering if Sesame Workshop has plans to make a series out of those charachters and have Baby Bear in it. Do you think this is something they may be considering? This episode defientley showed all the signs of an attempted Spin Off.

I doubt it.

David Rudman, aka Baby Bear, is already swamped with directing and writing duties for "Jack's Big Music Show" for Noggin - I'd be surprised if he had time to commit to another series.

maybe a 15 min thing on ss?
That's doubtful, as Sesame Street would become a long-form segment only show, with no time for skits.

They air Elmo's World and Global Grover as seperate TV shows in Canada and other "foreign territories", so there's a market for shorter programs. They might create a stand-alone 10-minute show sometime.

Remember, the Workshop is pretty busy with the "Sesame Beginnings" video line and supposed clay animation series of Ernie and Bert.

Another suggestion......

With the amazing headway they have made with claymation, I think a digital character show (like Roly Poly Oley on Disney) for Bert and Ernie would be equally as great!

I'd say "Canadians are weird", but that would offend a couple of people I know.

Perhaps Baby Bear will see a speach therapist? His lisp drives me into the other room when he's on Sesame.
