Avatar uploading problems

Why isnt it letting me upload avatars from urls? I want to use this awsome av vic made and it keeps saying could not read temporary file. Can anyone help?

P.s. Saving it to my computer distorts the image

Saving the file first, then uploading it from your computer should do the trick.

If not, e-mail me the URL of the picture you want inserted and I'll do it for you.
